Hounslow Toy Library is a registered charity - no. 277815. Next year we will need to raise at least £15,000 to keep the Toy Library running.

We received our last grant from Hounslow Council for 2010/2011 as they are changing to commissioning for the future. We managed to raise approximately £14,000 to meet our shortfall.

We did this in many ways. Locally, members of Hounslow PCT were invited to join the "Pennies from Heaven" scheme. Every month the odd pennies on their salary slips are given to charity. Hounslow PCT chose the Toy Library and in 2010 we received almost £400.

We were given donations from companies including Intrepid Security, Bank of America, Waitrose and Sainsbury in Chiswick. This brought us over £4000.

Local groups including 7th Day Adventists, Hounslow East Society, Green School, H&I Rotary, Probus clubs, St. Luke's Mission and many others also contributed funds to the Toy Library totalling approx. £2,400.

During this year we were sad that one of our members died and also the wife of an ex-treasurer. Both families are committed to the good work done in the Toy Library and requested donations in memory of their loved ones. This totalled over £4000 which includes Gift Aid.

Members and friends are also generous and donated over £,1500.

We are always so grateful for donations from friends, local groups and companies. We work very hard ourselves to raise money too. Our own fundraising included a meal out at the Everest '53 restaurant, in-house raffles, a stall at Brentford Festival and carol singing on Richmond Station.We raised over £2000.

We have been given Christmas presents for the children from Imarest for which we say thank-you. We also had a number of toy and gift donations from supporters of the Toy Library.
